Reviews

"There are not enough words to describe the joy, passion, and excitement your story brings to my life. Being Sixteen, there isn’t much in the world that can fill a girl’s longing for love and romance; your story is an exception."

"Swan, darling, you are truly a gifted writer. Seriously, please add my name to that growing list of hardback book orders of your published story, with your autograph as well. I check back often for updates, and would love to read of Erik and Christine living that happily ever after dream."

"I’ve read hundreds of romantic novels from many other exceptional authors too- but I can say without hesitation that your work is as deeply moving, profoundly perceptive, professionally executed, and invested with such honesty and genuine, heartfelt sympathy and warmth, as any of the ‘best’ bestselling novels I have read."

Is it Hot In Here?

laptop on fire

laptop on fire

Greetings fans and friends!  This is just a quickie to update you all about my progress on the revisions for Chanson de l’Ange.  Does the photo give you a clue?  No, my laptop has not caught on fire and is still in perfect working order…(for an ancient computer, that is)  This photo is meant to represent the work I have been doing just about every day on revising the original ‘Book One’ manuscript for errors and lousy grammar.  In other words, I am working my a$$ off!  So to those of you who are emailing, posting on my blog and facebook page begging to know when the new 4 part series will be released….this is your answer:  I am working on it! All kidding aside, my goal now is to release the new series this year!   For now, that’s all I can tell you.  I know some of you are disappointed that you will have to wait longer than expected….but imagine how I feel?  I’ve been working on this novel since 2005!  I would like to have a life again!  But hey, when your passions drive you,  you just have to go with it, right?

I must say that I am very pleased with how the revisions are progressing.  Be assured that the story content and plot are not changing.  I am improving the writing but the story is the same.  It is very hard work, going through the entire manuscript again, but it feels so good knowing that my readers will have the quality of writing they deserve.  Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as my beta and I burn up our computers!

New Life For Chanson de l’Ange

angel

Greetings fans and friends.  I have an important announcement to make and I hope you will all be profoundly excited about my news!  As you know my novel has been picked up by TreasureLine Publishing and I am in the process of migrating my work away from Xlibris to this small but growing traditional publishing house.  TreasureLine offers their authors hands on assistance and encouragement with a team of professionals who function together like a warm and cozy family.  At this time in my life and in the life of Chanson de l’Ange, TreasureLine is the perfect fit and I am thrilled to have been added to their bookshelves.  But this means that there will be BIG changes for Chanson de l’Ange…changes that I hope you will welcome… (Click the MORE button to read entire article)

Another 5 Star Review!

5.0 out of 5 stars PHANTASTIC!!!, June 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

Finished this book last night and all I can say is…BRILLIANT! I LOVED every single minute of it! I’m a Phanatic and love anything and everything Phantom of the Opera, but I am very protective of the story. I’m very skeptical when it comes to reading/watching others own imaginative extended versions of the Phantom. I’m always worried that they might ruin the beauty and uniqueness of the story, as well as the characters we’ve all come to know and love. I decided to give Chanson de l’Ange a chance though after reading the synopsis and other reviews. Well, if you’re a phanatic like I am and have the same worries as I do…you have absolutely nothing to fear with Chanson de l’Ange. The story is absolutely magnificent. It stays completely true to the greatest love story in the world and our favorite fictional characters, while giving us so much more. Paisley Swan Stewart re-creates the story in a way that only a true phantom phan can. She brings the kind of life and love into the story that no other author before her has. I’ve always wanted the love of Erik and Christine to be expressed more and deeper with passion and heart and she gives us just that. I’ve always wanted to experience an extensiveness to their relationship and to be able to lose myself in their love for each other. She gives us what we’ve been wanting since we first fell in love with the story – a backstage pass. We get ERIK and CHRISTINE….first and foremost. In every other story their time together has always been limited, but Stewart gives us scene after scene with exploration of every aspect of their love. I cannot even put into words how wonderful it was to have read this book. To have the extensive story of POTO I’ve always wanted placed right in front of me….in black and white. Paisley Swan Stewart, a phantom phan herself, knew exactly what we wanted…and she gave it to us. Not only can’t I wait for book 2, but I’m just as much looking forward to reading book 1 all over again. Chanson de l’Ange is by far one of, if not the, BEST Phantom book out today. I LOVE it!

Delays, Challenges and Prayer

rain

Greetings fans and friends,

It seems that every time I turn around there are more delays and more challenges in getting this darn book submitted for publication!  Last week we were having a sprinkling system installed in our front yard, and out of nowhere, our main waterline sprung a substantial leak and flooded our basement.  It was apparently very old and ready to blow at any moment, so when the soil was moved away from the pipe it expanded and cracked.

A week and a half, and a few thousand dollars later, with an amazing dry-out service called Water Out we were able to save the carpet, but part of a wall had to be replaced.  Unfortunately Nathan’s studio and our bedroom are both located in the basement so it has been been complete chaos around here trying to get everything back in order.  The flood also set back our work on the Chanson CD, so that project will have to be delayed as well.  The good news is that I expect to send out the Book Two manuscript to my publisher next week, who will then have one of her editors review it and correct any errors. (thank God, because I had no one for Book One)  I don’t know what the turnaround time will be for the official release, but will announce as soon as I have that information.

As some of  you may know, for the past 3 years my husband has been dealing with some fairly serious health problems.  Bill has always been a very youthful, strong and healthy man, so it has been a tremendous strain on me watching him go through all this.  In addition to an auto immune disease he is currently being treated for, my dear hubby has been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, a condition that is often a precursor to Alzheimers, and he is now taking medication to slow down the progression of the disease.  We are praying that in the next year or so, new hope and new medications will be made available for people like my Bill, who is only 66 years young and envisions himself  living a full and happy life well into his 80′s.

All along this more than 7 year journey of my writing both Book One and Book Two of Chanson de l’Ange, Bill has been there to support and encourage me, even when we had no idea how truly ill he was, or what we would be confronting now.  I am so thankful for every day we enjoy together, and I believe we have many wonderful days ahead of us.

This May the 19th we will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary!!!
